<p>The&nbsp;first&nbsp;thing&nbsp;that&nbsp;stands&nbsp;out&nbsp;is&nbsp;the&nbsp;recording&nbsp;quality.&nbsp;Recorded&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href="https://truefuryaudio.carrd.co/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">True&nbsp;Fury</a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;El&nbsp;Paso&nbsp;with&nbsp;engineer&nbsp;Hector&nbsp;Meza,&nbsp;this&nbsp;EP&nbsp;consistently&nbsp;slaps&nbsp;and&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;treat&nbsp;to&nbsp;listen&nbsp;to.&nbsp;The&nbsp;drums&nbsp;hit&nbsp;hard,&nbsp;the&nbsp;vocals&nbsp;sit&nbsp;clearly&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;mix,&nbsp;the&nbsp;guitars&nbsp;cut&nbsp;through,&nbsp;the&nbsp;bass&nbsp;has&nbsp;real&nbsp;weight,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;dynamics&nbsp;give&nbsp;every&nbsp;track&nbsp;room&nbsp;to&nbsp;breathe.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Track&nbsp;1:&nbsp;9mm&nbsp;Haircut</strong></h2><p>https://open.spotify.com/track/4y7B7lABDSpaPyslQ1U38T?si=fcb28a237572443e</p><p></p><p>The&nbsp;EP’s&nbsp;opener&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;introduction&nbsp;to&nbsp;what&nbsp;Call&nbsp;It&nbsp;Lost&nbsp;is&nbsp;bringing&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;table.&nbsp;A&nbsp;quick&nbsp;intro&nbsp;riff&nbsp;gives&nbsp;way&nbsp;to&nbsp;powerful&nbsp;vocals&nbsp;and&nbsp;an&nbsp;equally&nbsp;powerful&nbsp;drop,&nbsp;setting&nbsp;the&nbsp;tone&nbsp;immediately.&nbsp;From&nbsp;there,&nbsp;the&nbsp;band&nbsp;keeps&nbsp;the&nbsp;energy&nbsp;high&nbsp;with&nbsp;catchy&nbsp;hooks,&nbsp;blistering&nbsp;breakdowns,&nbsp;and&nbsp;layered&nbsp;harmonies&nbsp;that&nbsp;let&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;and&nbsp;Shayne’s&nbsp;screams&nbsp;and&nbsp;cleans&nbsp;play&nbsp;off&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;without&nbsp;stepping&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;song.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Track&nbsp;2:&nbsp;Bounce&nbsp;Back</strong></h2><p>https://open.spotify.com/track/10hu9vcSOavD5iFcm6EXTI?si=199f6ba50d5341e2</p><p></p><p>After&nbsp;getting&nbsp;punched,&nbsp;or&nbsp;maybe&nbsp;shot,&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;face&nbsp;by&nbsp;“<strong>9mm&nbsp;Haircut</strong>,”&nbsp;“<strong>Bounce&nbsp;Back</strong>”&nbsp;pulls&nbsp;things&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;calmer&nbsp;place&nbsp;with&nbsp;an&nbsp;ethereal&nbsp;intro&nbsp;riff&nbsp;from&nbsp;guitarists&nbsp;Robin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Raymond.&nbsp;It&nbsp;gives&nbsp;you&nbsp;a&nbsp;false&nbsp;sense&nbsp;of&nbsp;security&nbsp;before&nbsp;the&nbsp;song&nbsp;rips&nbsp;back&nbsp;into&nbsp;controlled&nbsp;chaos.&nbsp;For&nbsp;me,&nbsp;this&nbsp;is&nbsp;the&nbsp;catchiest&nbsp;track&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;EP.&nbsp;It&nbsp;blends&nbsp;brutal&nbsp;and&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;way&nbsp;that&nbsp;feels&nbsp;instantly&nbsp;playlist&nbsp;ready.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Track&nbsp;3:&nbsp;Change&nbsp;Your&nbsp;Mind</strong></h2><p>https://open.spotify.com/track/754Upd9mpDB4YYznR7gKdi?si=64369c9575804263</p><p></p><p>Frantic&nbsp;riffs&nbsp;open&nbsp;into&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;slickest&nbsp;bass&nbsp;lines&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;release.&nbsp;Sebastian&nbsp;rides&nbsp;the&nbsp;pocket&nbsp;while&nbsp;still&nbsp;standing&nbsp;out,&nbsp;driving&nbsp;the&nbsp;track&nbsp;forward&nbsp;without&nbsp;overplaying.&nbsp;The&nbsp;song&nbsp;really&nbsp;shines&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;middle,&nbsp;where&nbsp;a&nbsp;tom-led&nbsp;breakdown&nbsp;from&nbsp;drummer&nbsp;Jeremiah&nbsp;sits&nbsp;underneath&nbsp;delicate&nbsp;clean&nbsp;vocals&nbsp;and&nbsp;an&nbsp;a&nbsp;cappella&nbsp;section&nbsp;that&nbsp;builds&nbsp;perfectly&nbsp;into&nbsp;the&nbsp;screaming&nbsp;outro.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Track&nbsp;4:&nbsp;Who’s&nbsp;Car&nbsp;Are&nbsp;We&nbsp;Taking?</strong></h2><p>https://open.spotify.com/track/6ImgV3nEN4IfCdiBwaXfEK?si=9a6d4a1c33274320</p><p></p><p>The&nbsp;shortest&nbsp;track&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;EP&nbsp;fits&nbsp;right&nbsp;in&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;release.&nbsp;Similar&nbsp;to&nbsp;“<strong>Bounce&nbsp;Back</strong>,”&nbsp;“<strong>Who’s&nbsp;Car&nbsp;Are&nbsp;We&nbsp;Taking?</strong>”&nbsp;feels&nbsp;built&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;a&nbsp;single,&nbsp;with&nbsp;lyrics&nbsp;that&nbsp;are&nbsp;almost&nbsp;guaranteed&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;screamed&nbsp;back&nbsp;at&nbsp;upcoming&nbsp;shows.&nbsp;My&nbsp;only&nbsp;complaint&nbsp;is&nbsp;that&nbsp;it&nbsp;ends&nbsp;right&nbsp;as&nbsp;you’re&nbsp;fully&nbsp;locked&nbsp;in.&nbsp;That’s&nbsp;what&nbsp;the&nbsp;repeat&nbsp;button&nbsp;is&nbsp;for,&nbsp;I&nbsp;suppose.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Track&nbsp;5:&nbsp;Let’s&nbsp;TAAKA&nbsp;’Bout&nbsp;It</strong></h2><p>https://open.spotify.com/track/6gHEMkoJZJZgeKbFKjWzcp?si=95826ac9bb114b2e</p><p></p><p>I’m&nbsp;sure&nbsp;the&nbsp;track&nbsp;title&nbsp;is&nbsp;an&nbsp;inside&nbsp;joke&nbsp;I’m&nbsp;not&nbsp;privy&nbsp;to,&nbsp;but&nbsp;that&nbsp;does&nbsp;not&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;any&nbsp;less&nbsp;enjoyable.&nbsp;If&nbsp;“<strong>9mm&nbsp;Haircut</strong>”&nbsp;is&nbsp;the&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;opener,&nbsp;“<strong>Let’s&nbsp;TAAKA&nbsp;’Bout&nbsp;It</strong>”&nbsp;does&nbsp;exactly&nbsp;what&nbsp;a&nbsp;closer&nbsp;should&nbsp;do.&nbsp;Gang&nbsp;vocals,&nbsp;sing-along&nbsp;hooks,&nbsp;huge&nbsp;instrumentation,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;widest&nbsp;range&nbsp;of&nbsp;sounds&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;release&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;EP’s&nbsp;strongest&nbsp;moments.&nbsp;It&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;very&nbsp;close&nbsp;second&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;for&nbsp;me&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong><em>withyourheart*</em></strong>.</p><p></p><h2><strong>Summary</strong></h2><p>This&nbsp;release&nbsp;fucks.&nbsp;Full&nbsp;stop.</p><p></p><p>It&nbsp;is&nbsp;genuinely&nbsp;exciting&nbsp;to&nbsp;hear&nbsp;a&nbsp;recording&nbsp;of&nbsp;this&nbsp;caliber&nbsp;from&nbsp;a&nbsp;local&nbsp;act.&nbsp;The&nbsp;only&nbsp;selfish&nbsp;criticism&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;is&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;wish&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;longer.&nbsp;A&nbsp;deluxe&nbsp;version&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;softer&nbsp;tracks&nbsp;would&nbsp;be&nbsp;a&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;complement,&nbsp;especially&nbsp;because&nbsp;the&nbsp;pieces&nbsp;are&nbsp;clearly&nbsp;already&nbsp;there.&nbsp;<strong>Call&nbsp;It&nbsp;Lost</strong>&nbsp;has&nbsp;the&nbsp;sound,&nbsp;range,&nbsp;and&nbsp;confidence&nbsp;to&nbsp;stretch&nbsp;across&nbsp;the&nbsp;full&nbsp;spectrum&nbsp;of&nbsp;post-hardcore&nbsp;without&nbsp;losing&nbsp;their&nbsp;identity.</p><p></p><p>I’m&nbsp;eager&nbsp;to&nbsp;hear&nbsp;what&nbsp;comes&nbsp;next.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>Season&nbsp;1&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Las&nbsp;Cruces&nbsp;Rocks</em>&nbsp;is&nbsp;officially&nbsp;done.</p><p></p><p>Over&nbsp;the&nbsp;last&nbsp;three&nbsp;months,&nbsp;the&nbsp;show&nbsp;covered&nbsp;more&nbsp;than&nbsp;500&nbsp;miles,&nbsp;about&nbsp;11&nbsp;hours&nbsp;of&nbsp;content,&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;ground&nbsp;in&nbsp;general.&nbsp;We&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;sit&nbsp;down&nbsp;with&nbsp;artists,&nbsp;hear&nbsp;stories,&nbsp;air&nbsp;performances,&nbsp;and&nbsp;put&nbsp;some&nbsp;real&nbsp;focus&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;people&nbsp;making&nbsp;noise&nbsp;in&nbsp;and&nbsp;around&nbsp;Las&nbsp;Cruces.&nbsp;For&nbsp;a&nbsp;first&nbsp;season,&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;really&nbsp;proud&nbsp;of&nbsp;what&nbsp;we&nbsp;pulled&nbsp;off.</p><p></p><p>Now&nbsp;we&nbsp;are&nbsp;in&nbsp;The&nbsp;Offseason.</p><p></p><p>That&nbsp;does&nbsp;not&nbsp;mean&nbsp;everything&nbsp;stops.&nbsp;It&nbsp;just&nbsp;means&nbsp;I&nbsp;get&nbsp;a&nbsp;second&nbsp;to&nbsp;breathe,&nbsp;tighten&nbsp;things&nbsp;up,&nbsp;and&nbsp;get&nbsp;ready&nbsp;for&nbsp;what&nbsp;is&nbsp;next.&nbsp;Season&nbsp;2&nbsp;is&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;open&nbsp;the&nbsp;show&nbsp;up&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;more.&nbsp;Along&nbsp;with&nbsp;artists&nbsp;and&nbsp;bands,&nbsp;I&nbsp;want&nbsp;to&nbsp;spend&nbsp;more&nbsp;time&nbsp;talking&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;people&nbsp;and&nbsp;places&nbsp;that&nbsp;help&nbsp;keep&nbsp;a&nbsp;local&nbsp;scene&nbsp;alive:&nbsp;venues,&nbsp;promoters,&nbsp;studios,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;other&nbsp;support&nbsp;systems&nbsp;around&nbsp;it&nbsp;that&nbsp;do&nbsp;not&nbsp;always&nbsp;get&nbsp;enough&nbsp;attention.</p><p></p><p>On&nbsp;a&nbsp;personal&nbsp;level,&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;two&nbsp;huge&nbsp;things&nbsp;right&nbsp;in&nbsp;front&nbsp;of&nbsp;me.&nbsp;First,&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;getting&nbsp;married.&nbsp;During&nbsp;the&nbsp;week&nbsp;of&nbsp;April&nbsp;13&nbsp;through&nbsp;19,&nbsp;I&nbsp;will&nbsp;be&nbsp;in&nbsp;Las&nbsp;Vegas&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;wedding,&nbsp;and&nbsp;while&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;gone&nbsp;we&nbsp;will&nbsp;be&nbsp;reairing&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;episode&nbsp;of&nbsp;Season&nbsp;1&nbsp;featuring&nbsp;sunihateyou.&nbsp;It&nbsp;felt&nbsp;like&nbsp;a&nbsp;good&nbsp;way&nbsp;to&nbsp;loop&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;where&nbsp;the&nbsp;season&nbsp;started&nbsp;while&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;out.</p><p></p><p>The&nbsp;other&nbsp;big&nbsp;thing&nbsp;is&nbsp;LCR&nbsp;Fest&nbsp;on&nbsp;May&nbsp;30.&nbsp;Once&nbsp;I&nbsp;get&nbsp;back,&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;time&nbsp;is&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;spent&nbsp;getting&nbsp;that&nbsp;fully&nbsp;locked&nbsp;in.&nbsp;That&nbsp;means&nbsp;finishing&nbsp;promo&nbsp;videos,&nbsp;flyers,&nbsp;sponsor&nbsp;and&nbsp;vendor&nbsp;coordination,&nbsp;partnerships,&nbsp;and&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;other&nbsp;behind-the-scenes&nbsp;work&nbsp;that&nbsp;goes&nbsp;into&nbsp;getting&nbsp;something&nbsp;like&nbsp;this&nbsp;off&nbsp;the&nbsp;ground&nbsp;the&nbsp;right&nbsp;way.</p><p></p><p>We&nbsp;will&nbsp;still&nbsp;have&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;offseason&nbsp;episodes&nbsp;before&nbsp;Season&nbsp;2&nbsp;starts&nbsp;up&nbsp;sometime&nbsp;in&nbsp;May,&nbsp;so&nbsp;this&nbsp;is&nbsp;not&nbsp;a&nbsp;disappearance.&nbsp;It&nbsp;is&nbsp;more&nbsp;like&nbsp;a&nbsp;reset.&nbsp;A&nbsp;little&nbsp;breathing&nbsp;room,&nbsp;a&nbsp;little&nbsp;planning,&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;right&nbsp;back&nbsp;at&nbsp;it.</p><p></p><p>I&nbsp;am&nbsp;really&nbsp;excited&nbsp;about&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;few&nbsp;weeks.</p><p></p><p>Stay&nbsp;tuned.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>As&nbsp;we&nbsp;wind&nbsp;down&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;season&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Las&nbsp;Cruces&nbsp;Rocks</em>,&nbsp;I&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;some&nbsp;time&nbsp;to&nbsp;reflect&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;journey&nbsp;that&nbsp;got&nbsp;us&nbsp;here.</p><p></p><p>Around&nbsp;Christmas,&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;farmers&nbsp;market&nbsp;and&nbsp;happened&nbsp;to&nbsp;come&nbsp;across&nbsp;KTAL-LP’s&nbsp;booth,&nbsp;where&nbsp;Walt&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jennifer&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;station&nbsp;were&nbsp;set&nbsp;up.&nbsp;After&nbsp;talking&nbsp;with&nbsp;them&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;about&nbsp;the&nbsp;records&nbsp;they&nbsp;had&nbsp;for&nbsp;sale,&nbsp;they&nbsp;floated&nbsp;the&nbsp;idea&nbsp;of&nbsp;me&nbsp;hosting&nbsp;my&nbsp;own&nbsp;show.&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;plenty&nbsp;of&nbsp;experience&nbsp;in&nbsp;radio,&nbsp;podcasting,&nbsp;and&nbsp;just&nbsp;about&nbsp;anything&nbsp;involving&nbsp;microphones&nbsp;and&nbsp;media,&nbsp;but&nbsp;until&nbsp;then,&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;not&nbsp;really&nbsp;considered&nbsp;jumping&nbsp;back&nbsp;into&nbsp;it.</p><p></p><p>Inspired,&nbsp;I&nbsp;went&nbsp;home,&nbsp;recorded&nbsp;a&nbsp;demo&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;show,&nbsp;and&nbsp;submitted&nbsp;it&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;station.&nbsp;A&nbsp;week&nbsp;passed,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;started&nbsp;to&nbsp;wonder&nbsp;whether&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;interested,&nbsp;so&nbsp;I&nbsp;called&nbsp;to&nbsp;check&nbsp;in.&nbsp;To&nbsp;my&nbsp;surprise,&nbsp;my&nbsp;pitch&nbsp;had&nbsp;been&nbsp;a&nbsp;hit,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;soon&nbsp;began&nbsp;the&nbsp;process&nbsp;of&nbsp;getting&nbsp;the&nbsp;show&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;air.</p><p></p><p>I&nbsp;went&nbsp;through&nbsp;onboarding&nbsp;with&nbsp;Minerva,&nbsp;training&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;station’s&nbsp;tech&nbsp;guru,&nbsp;Dean,&nbsp;and&nbsp;recorded&nbsp;my&nbsp;first&nbsp;on-air&nbsp;promo&nbsp;with&nbsp;The&nbsp;Buzzman,&nbsp;a&nbsp;veteran&nbsp;of&nbsp;community&nbsp;radio.&nbsp;From&nbsp;there,&nbsp;they&nbsp;turned&nbsp;me&nbsp;loose&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;board,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;off&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;races&nbsp;with&nbsp;barely&nbsp;any&nbsp;time&nbsp;to&nbsp;plan&nbsp;what&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;do.</p><p></p><p>Having&nbsp;been&nbsp;something&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;hermit&nbsp;over&nbsp;the&nbsp;last&nbsp;few&nbsp;years,&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;things&nbsp;that&nbsp;got&nbsp;me&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;house&nbsp;was&nbsp;my&nbsp;son&nbsp;and&nbsp;his&nbsp;friends,&nbsp;his&nbsp;bandmates&nbsp;in&nbsp;sunihateyou.&nbsp;Through&nbsp;them,&nbsp;I&nbsp;started&nbsp;meeting&nbsp;bands&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;area&nbsp;and&nbsp;building&nbsp;a&nbsp;network&nbsp;of&nbsp;people&nbsp;I&nbsp;could&nbsp;tap&nbsp;into&nbsp;for&nbsp;content.</p><p></p><p>I&nbsp;recorded&nbsp;my&nbsp;first&nbsp;interview&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;show&nbsp;in&nbsp;my&nbsp;home&nbsp;office&nbsp;with&nbsp;SIHY,&nbsp;along&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;performance&nbsp;at&nbsp;their&nbsp;practice&nbsp;space.&nbsp;From&nbsp;there,&nbsp;I&nbsp;began&nbsp;reaching&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;other&nbsp;local&nbsp;bands,&nbsp;and&nbsp;to&nbsp;my&nbsp;surprise,&nbsp;most&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;ones&nbsp;I&nbsp;contacted&nbsp;were&nbsp;interested&nbsp;in&nbsp;being&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;show.&nbsp;That&nbsp;outreach&nbsp;set&nbsp;into&nbsp;motion&nbsp;three&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;of&nbsp;back-to-back&nbsp;recordings,&nbsp;which&nbsp;became&nbsp;the&nbsp;content&nbsp;you&nbsp;heard&nbsp;over&nbsp;the&nbsp;last&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;of&nbsp;this&nbsp;season.</p><p></p><p>Hundreds&nbsp;of&nbsp;miles&nbsp;traveled&nbsp;later,&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;hours&nbsp;of&nbsp;content&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;mixed,&nbsp;edited,&nbsp;and&nbsp;scheduled&nbsp;to&nbsp;air&nbsp;each&nbsp;week,&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;way&nbsp;through&nbsp;our&nbsp;finale&nbsp;on&nbsp;April&nbsp;1.&nbsp;Amoral&nbsp;Minds,&nbsp;Father&nbsp;Wolf,&nbsp;Fear&nbsp;of&nbsp;Tradition,&nbsp;Death&nbsp;Benefits,&nbsp;Worm&nbsp;Ceiling,&nbsp;Funeral&nbsp;Joke,&nbsp;Jane&nbsp;Like&nbsp;Fire,&nbsp;The&nbsp;Anhedonians,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Know//Suffer&nbsp;were&nbsp;all&nbsp;kind&nbsp;enough&nbsp;to&nbsp;invite&nbsp;me&nbsp;and&nbsp;my&nbsp;crew&nbsp;into&nbsp;their&nbsp;spaces&nbsp;so&nbsp;we&nbsp;could&nbsp;capture&nbsp;intimate&nbsp;performances&nbsp;and&nbsp;candid&nbsp;interviews.&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;honored&nbsp;and&nbsp;humbled&nbsp;by&nbsp;their&nbsp;hospitality&nbsp;and&nbsp;their&nbsp;willingness&nbsp;to&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in&nbsp;this&nbsp;effort&nbsp;to&nbsp;amplify&nbsp;the&nbsp;local&nbsp;scene.</p><p></p><p>By&nbsp;the&nbsp;end&nbsp;of&nbsp;March&nbsp;and&nbsp;into&nbsp;April,&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;planned&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;a&nbsp;break&nbsp;from&nbsp;recording&nbsp;and&nbsp;begin&nbsp;gearing&nbsp;up&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;pivot&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;new&nbsp;topic&nbsp;for&nbsp;season&nbsp;two.&nbsp;But&nbsp;the&nbsp;overwhelming&nbsp;desire&nbsp;I&nbsp;kept&nbsp;hearing&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;bands,&nbsp;a&nbsp;desire&nbsp;to&nbsp;play&nbsp;more&nbsp;shows&nbsp;in&nbsp;Cruces,&nbsp;inspired&nbsp;me&nbsp;to&nbsp;end&nbsp;this&nbsp;season&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;bang.&nbsp;From&nbsp;that,&nbsp;LCR&nbsp;Fest&nbsp;was&nbsp;born.</p><p></p><p>The&nbsp;idea&nbsp;was&nbsp;simple&nbsp;in&nbsp;concept,&nbsp;but&nbsp;ambitious&nbsp;in&nbsp;execution:&nbsp;get&nbsp;all&nbsp;ten&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;bands&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;season&nbsp;together&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;benefit&nbsp;show&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;station.&nbsp;Coordinating&nbsp;schedules,&nbsp;finding&nbsp;a&nbsp;venue,&nbsp;and&nbsp;assembling&nbsp;a&nbsp;crew&nbsp;turned&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;a&nbsp;massive&nbsp;undertaking.</p><p></p><p>But&nbsp;persistence,&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;real&nbsp;desire&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;happen,&nbsp;won&nbsp;out.&nbsp;Now&nbsp;we&nbsp;have&nbsp;what&nbsp;is&nbsp;shaping&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;Las&nbsp;Cruces’&nbsp;biggest&nbsp;and&nbsp;best&nbsp;local&nbsp;music&nbsp;festivals&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;calendar&nbsp;for&nbsp;May&nbsp;30&nbsp;at&nbsp;The&nbsp;Destination,&nbsp;an&nbsp;incredible&nbsp;venue&nbsp;here&nbsp;in&nbsp;town&nbsp;that&nbsp;shares&nbsp;my&nbsp;desire&nbsp;to&nbsp;provide&nbsp;a&nbsp;home&nbsp;for&nbsp;bands&nbsp;that&nbsp;want&nbsp;to&nbsp;play&nbsp;in&nbsp;Las&nbsp;Cruces.</p><p></p><p>As&nbsp;I&nbsp;write&nbsp;this,&nbsp;we&nbsp;have&nbsp;already&nbsp;sold&nbsp;out&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;drop&nbsp;of&nbsp;tickets&nbsp;and&nbsp;are&nbsp;well&nbsp;on&nbsp;our&nbsp;way&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;successful&nbsp;show.&nbsp;It&nbsp;is&nbsp;still&nbsp;wild&nbsp;to&nbsp;me&nbsp;that&nbsp;just&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;ago,&nbsp;none&nbsp;of&nbsp;this&nbsp;was&nbsp;even&nbsp;under&nbsp;consideration.&nbsp;If&nbsp;it&nbsp;had&nbsp;not&nbsp;been&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;last-minute&nbsp;holiday&nbsp;shopping&nbsp;trip&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;market,&nbsp;I&nbsp;would&nbsp;not&nbsp;be&nbsp;sitting&nbsp;here&nbsp;writing&nbsp;this&nbsp;right&nbsp;now.</p><p></p><p>To&nbsp;the&nbsp;station,&nbsp;the&nbsp;bands,&nbsp;my&nbsp;crew,&nbsp;and&nbsp;my&nbsp;family,&nbsp;thank&nbsp;you.&nbsp;You&nbsp;have&nbsp;given&nbsp;me&nbsp;purpose&nbsp;and&nbsp;motivation&nbsp;to&nbsp;create&nbsp;something&nbsp;that&nbsp;keeps&nbsp;getting&nbsp;better&nbsp;and&nbsp;better.&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;beyond&nbsp;excited&nbsp;for&nbsp;what&nbsp;the&nbsp;future&nbsp;holds&nbsp;for&nbsp;this&nbsp;show&nbsp;and&nbsp;for&nbsp;this&nbsp;scene,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;deeply&nbsp;grateful&nbsp;to&nbsp;everyone&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;met&nbsp;along&nbsp;the&nbsp;way&nbsp;who&nbsp;has&nbsp;helped&nbsp;prove&nbsp;that&nbsp;<strong>Las&nbsp;Cruces&nbsp;Rocks</strong>.</p>]]></content:encoded>
